Student must maintain a study load of 20 hours per week
Student must maintain a rate of progress in the course of study to be able to complete the course in the scheduled timeframe and in accordance with the COE
Student must have OSHC prior to arrival in Australia.
There is a non-refundable fee of $230.00 for processing of enrolment application
Payment of one semester is due when a letter of offer and acceptance is sent to the student
Payment of other fee such as OSHC, accommodation placement fee, accommodation, airport pick up fees are due when a letter of offer and acceptance is sent to student.
During the period of enrolment student must inform TCWA of any change of address details within 7 days of making a move.
Personal information provided by student will be kept private and will not be shared with any organisations unless legally required to do so.
The information provided to TCWA may be made available to Commonwealth and state agencies.
By legislation TCWA is obliged to provide student information to:

All applications for refunds must be made in writing on the Refund Application Form to the Technical College of Western Australia (TCWA). On receiving an application for course refund TCWA shall:
Provide a full refund of tuition fees, where students provide more than 10 weeks written notice of their intention to withdraw from the course prior to the course commencement. The resource fees and application fee are not refundable.
Provide a partial refund of tuition fees, where students provide more than 4 weeks and up to 10 weeks written notice of their intention to withdraw from the course prior to the course or term commencement. The refund will be 70% of term tuition fees and a full refund of fees paid for any subsequent terms. The resource fees and application fee are not refundable.
Provide a partial refund of tuition fees, where students provide less than 4 weeks written notice of their intention to withdraw from the course prior to the course or term commencement. The partial refund of 40% of term tuition fees and a full refund of fees paid for any subsequent terms. The resource fees and application fee are not refundable
No refund where a student has withdrawn from the course after the course or term commencement. No refund is provided of term tuition fees.
Refunds of any monies received by the TCWA on behalf of the student for services (Airport Pickup, Accommodation arrangement, Overseas Student Health Cover (OHSC) etc.) other than course fees must be requested from the company delivering the service and students will be subject to that company's refund policy.
Students who dispute the refund policy and procedures are provided with the access to the TCWA complaints and appeals policy and procedure
The above refund policy does on not apply where the student default is a result of the student being refused a student visa. Where a prospective student is refused a student visa and as a consequence fails to start on the agreed starting date; withdraws from the course; or fails to pay the amount owing to undertake the course, the refund policy will not apply.
In such circumstances TCWA will calculate the student's refund in accordance with ESOS sub regulation 3.19(2) which allows a provider to keep certain amounts e.g. administrative expenses and a portion of the fees (where a student hasalready commenced the course) etc.
When refunding students in cases of visa refusal, providers are required to give students a statement explaining how the calculation has been worked out. For your reference a full copy of Sub regulation 3.19(2) of the ESOS Regulations is included below

Division 3.4: Refunds of course money
3.19 Amounts to be subtracted from course money
(2)For paragraph 29 (1) (b) of the Act, the amounts for a student in the circumstances mentioned in subsection 27
(2) of the Act are the following:
(a) Administration expenses totalling no more than the lesser of:
(i) $250; and
(ii) 5% of the total amount of course money that the provider received in respect of the student for the course before the default day
(b) The part of expenses for travel, accommodation and other domestic services that cannot be offset by providing the services to someone else
(c) The amount of compulsory union fees
(d) The cost of books, equipment and other materials needed for the course
(e) The proportion of the course money that the provider received in respect of the student before the default day that is equal to the proportion of the course that was provided to the student before the default day.
(3)When a registered provider refunds an amount to a student under section 29 of the Act, the provider must give the student a statement that explains how the amount has been worked out.
Please note that where a student has had their enrolment cancelled by TCWA due to student default i.e.:
The student failed to pay an amount he or she was liable to pay the provider, directly or indirectly, in order to undertake the course.
The student breached a condition of his or her student visa.
Misbehaviour by the student or the contravention of TCWA rules of enrolment.
And where the appeal process has not been sought by the student or the appeals process has been finalized, no refund for terms tuition fees and a refund of no more than 40% of the subsequent term and full refund of any additional terms fees will apply.
A provider defaults when:
does not start on the agreed starting day; or
b) The course ceases to be provided at any time after it starts but before it is completed; or
c) The course is not provided in full to the student because a sanction has been imposed on the registered provider under Part 6 of the Educational Services for Overseas Students Act 2000;
And the student has not withdrawn before the default day.
In the unlikely event that TCWA is unable to deliver your course in full, TCWA within 14 days of default date will offer you either
a) An enrolment in an alternative course at no extra cost to you, or
b) A partial refund of the unexpended prepaid tuition fees.
You have the right to choose whether you would prefer a partial refund of the course fees, or to accept a place in another course. If you choose placement in another course, we will ask you to sign a document to indicate that you accept the placement.
If TCWA is unable to provide a refund or place you in an alternative course the Tuition Protection Service (TPS) will assist you to find suitable alternative course options for completing your study in Australia or, if this is notpossible, you will be eligible for applying refund of the amount of any unspent pre-paid tuition fees you have paid to the provider. These are any tuition fees you have already paid that are directly related to the course which
you haven't yet received
Refund requests for full or partial refunds must be made in writing on the Refunds Request Form, must set out the reasons for the request and be accompanied by supporting documentation as appropriate. The refund request must be

All refund claims requested should be processed within 4 weeks of receiving refund request form. In the event that a student wishes to contest the decision on a refund request, he or she would have access to TCWA existing Complaints and Appeals Policy and Procedures.

I cannot change my education provider during the first six months of my course without a written letter of release from TCWA.
If I apply for a refund of fee it will be treated according to TCWA's Refund Policy available on the TCWA website and attached with this form.
TCWA will send official communication relating to my studies via post at my preferred postal address that I provided at the time of enrolment.
