COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification provides learners with the skills and knowledge to work as a Human Resource (HR)
Manager to ensure that human resources functions are effectively conducted in an organization or
business area.

Workplace responsibilities would be determined at a workplace level. Some smaller business may require
employees to work across all aspects of human resources. In larger companies, individuals may just have
responsibil ity for a singular aspect of human resources such as remuneration.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years of age or over
  • Completed Year 12.(or equivalent)

ENGLISH REQUIREMENT

Students who have successfully completed either a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or Certificate IV or higher in Australia (in the English Language),  within two years of applying for a student visa are exempt of the English Requirement for International Students.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MUST MEET

Minimum 5.5 IELTS score & above or equivalent. (Those students who do not meet the minimum English requirement for International Students will need to package this program with an English Course before proceeding to the intended qualification).

ASSESSMENTS

All units of competence will be assessed using a selection of tools (Portfolios, Reports, Role-plays, Practical observations, Case studies, Questioning, Simulation activities, and written tests)

Pathways into the qualification
Preferred pathways for learners enrolling in the Diploma of Human Resources Management include:

  • BSB41015 Certificate IV in Human Resources or
  • other relevant qualifications
  • relevant vocational experience

Exit Points

  • Should a learner not be able to complete all the Units of Competency required to be awarded this qualification, they will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the individual Units for which they have been assessed where the learner has been assessed as competent

After achieving the Diploma of Business, learners may undertake:

  • BSB61015- Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management
  • Other Advanced Diploma qualifications

Students may be able to receive exemptions from some subjects based on this qualification.
