COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Diploma of Leadership and Management provides learners with the knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level display initiative and judgment in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.

They plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years of age or over
  • Completed Year 12.(or equivalent)

ENGLISH REQUIREMENT

Students who have successfully completed either a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or Certificate IV or higher in Australia (in the English Language),  within two years of applying for a student visa are exempt of the English Requirement for International Students.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS MUST MEET

Minimum 5.5 IELTS score & above or equivalent. (Those students who do not meet the minimum English requirement for International Students will need to package this program with an English Course before proceeding to the intended qualification).

ASSESSMENTS

All units of competence will be assessed using a selection of tools (Portfolios, Reports, Role-plays, Practical
observations, Case studies, Questioning, Simulation activities, and written tests) Learners who are awarded a credit transfer will be exempted from completing those units at TCWA

Preferred pathways for learners enrolling in the Diploma of Leadership and Management include:

  • BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.

Exit Points

  • Units of Competency are delivered as standalone sections of the course, allowing enough evidence to be gathered to enable the Assessors to make a competency judgment. Should a learner not be able to complete all the Units of Competency required to be awarded this qualification they will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the individual Units for which they have been assessed as competent

After achieving the Diploma of Leadership and Management, learners may undertake BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management. Students may be able to receive exemptions from some subjects based on this qualification.
